Navigating your Positive Behavior District Dashboard

  • Updated

The Behavior Analytics component includes three sets of dashboards and analytics at district, school, and teacher levels. The District and School-level dashboards can also connect to the existing Behavior Analytics in Success aggregate reporting pages, enabling users to explore behavior data in more detail.

(Figure 1.)

This page walks through the high-level navigation of features and metrics within the Positive Behavior District dashboard in the Behavior Analytics component.

Watch the video, then read the article below, to learn about the Positive Behavior District Dashboard:

District Dashboard

The District dashboard surfaces key insights and data visualizations to provide district leaders with a snapshot of the behavioral health of their students and schools (Figure 2). Data from Behavior Logging and Behavior Boost power the analytics and visualizations on this page. As a District administrator, you can click through reporting pages and metrics for all school dashboards at the district, and review behavior data for all students in their district.

(Figure 2.)

At the top of the District dashboard you will see 3 tiles featuring metrics all from within the past 30 days (Figure 3.):

  • Behavior Boost Usage (A): The percentage of teachers who set a goal or tracked a praise session in the Boost Mobile App.
  • Student Reach (B): The number of students being reached by a praise goal set by a teacher.
  • Major Incident Rates (C): The total number of major incidents occurring in the district set by the average number of major behavior incidents reported per 100 students within the district.

(Figure 3.)

Scrolling down you will find a chart displaying Incidents Reported Over Time to view how major and minor reported incidents are trending over time (Figure 4.). This chart will feature merged data from newly logged incidents and data stemming from your Student Information Systems (SIS) within the past 90 days. Clicking on either Major or Minor Incidents will adjust the chart display to only show your selected metric (Figure 5.).

(Figure 4 and 5.)

Clicking on “View incident reporting”, will direct you to the Behavior Analytics Aggregate Reporting at the District Level (Figure 6.). In the district aggregate reporting you can explore your district’s incident data by multiple attributes such as school, grade level or race/ethnicity to better support specific schools or groups of students.

(Figure 6.)

Over to the right in the Positive Behavior District Dashboard, the  Educators Practices tile will list groups of students that are most impacted by educators’ practices across the district and reflect on students who may need additional support (Figure 7.). This will also reflect data from the past 30 days.

(Figure 7.)

Below Educator Practices, you will find the Positive Behavior Practices vs Incident Rates chart display, indicating the 5 top schools in your district by Major Incident Rate (Figure 8.). Here, you can see the comparisons of educators who are utilizing the goal setting feature in the Boost Mobile app and the Major Incident rate by school site. Similar to Incidents Reported Over Time chart display, you can click on either Adoption Rate or Major Incident to adjust the chart display to only show your selected metric (Figure 9.).

(Figure 8 and 9.)

Selecting “View school reporting”, brings you to a separate page that provides a list of all schools within your district. The list will provide columns featuring each school’s  Adoption Rate, Major Incident Rate, and the Most Common Incident Type (Figure 10.) to further compare behavioral metrics and Behavior Boost adoption across schools and analyze trends within each school site.

(Figure 10.)

You can use the arrows to sort the schools by your preferred metric. Selecting one of the schools will direct you to view the Positive Behavior School-level Dashboard. As a district leader, you can also click any of the schools in the Schools tile, under the Education Behavior Practices tile, to view any School-Level dashboard page (Figure 11.).
