Positive Behavior School-Level Dashboard

Similar to the District dashboard, you will see metrics and data visualizations broken down to provide educators key insights powered by Behavior Logging and Behavior Boost. At the school level, educators review metrics on Behavior Boost Adoption, the Impact on Student Behavior, Behavior Practices, and Behavior Incidents reported over time. School leaders can also log, review, and submit major or minor behavior incidents from their dashboard.

This page walks through the high-level navigation of features and metrics within the Positive Behavior School dashboard. 

Behavior Boost Adoption

As a school administrator, you are able to see how educators are adopting, setting goals, and tracking praises using the Boost Behavior app within your school site in the last 30 days. The top portion of the Positive Behavior School Dashboard contains 3 key tiles (Figure 1.):

  • Behavior Boost Usage (A): The percentage of teachers who set a goal or tracked a praise session in the Behavior Boost Mobile App.
  • Goal Setting (B): The percentage of educators who set a goal out of the total number of educators who have access to Behavior Boost.
  • Praise Tracking (C): Percentage of teachers who are tracking praise sessions in the Boost app.

The Impact on Student Behavior

This section contains 3 tiles focused on the Impact of Student Behavior in your school over a 30 day period (Figure 2.). At the school level you are able to see the impact the use of Behavior Boost is having on your students and how many students have received additional behavior-specific praise.

  • Student Reach (A): The number of students have received 1 or more praise records in a praise session by a teacher.
  • Minor Incident Rate (B): The frequency of minor incidents occurring set by the average number of minor behavior incidents reported per 100 students within the school.
  • Major Incident Rate (C): The frequency of major incidents occurring in the set by the average number of major behavior incidents reported per 100 students within the school.

School Level Trends and Insights

Scrolling down you will find the School-level Incidents Over-Time chart displaying major and minor behavior incident trends over time (Figure 3.).

Clicking on the “View incident reporting” will guide you explore the Behavior Analytics Aggregate reporting at the school level. You can view your school’s incident data in detail, and identify opportunities to better support specific teachers and students who might benefit from more targeted support. To return to the Positive Behavior School Level Dashboard, click on the “Positive Behavior” tab at the top (Figure 4.).

You can quickly get visibility into where and what time behavior incidents are most commonly reported by reviewing the Incident Insights tile (Figure 5.).

Scrolling down further, you can see the Positive Behavior Practices vs Incident Rates chart broken down by grade level. Here you can see which grades in your school need additional support by comparing each individual grade’s Behavior Boost engagement to overall incident rates (Figure 6.).

Clicking on “ View grade reporting” will expand this view and guide you to a data table featuring of the below metrics for each grade level:

  • Adoption Rate: number of goals set
  • Total incidents: number of minor and major reported incidents
  • Major incidents: number of reported major incidents
  • Minor incidents: number of reported minor incidents
  • Most Common Incident Type: the most frequently reported incident type (major or minor) for the selected school in the last 30 days

You can sort each column by clicking the arrows next to each metric (Figure 7.).

You can click on the grade level to drill down further and see the same metrics applied to individual teachers. Here you can learn and determine whether specific educators can benefit from additional support (Figure 8.).

Major Active Incidents and Incident Logging

Depending on your role and level of access, you can review submissions or edit from the  Active Major Incidents tile (Figure 9.). The first 3 most recent active major incidents show on this title. An “ Active Major Incident” is a Major incident that has been reported by the other school administrators or teachers, but not yet Submitted.

As a school administrator you have access to viewing all active major incidents that have occurred in your school site. You will have the option to review submitted incidents from other teachers within your school or, edit and submit the major incidents you have logged. 

As a teacher , if you submitted a major incident for review, you will be able to go back and edit any draft or submitted incident. Teachers will only have access to their student roster and any incidents they have submitted for review.

You can click “View All Records” to view all reported incidents, including minor incidents and major incidents that need to be reviewed, edited, or have already been submitted (Figure 10.).

Students List 

As a School administrator, you can quickly find a specific student and view that student’s profile in more detail. You can click on a particular student or click “View Students” to access the students in your school. As a teacher, you will have access to view the students only in your roster (Figure 11.).

If your school or district has access to Student Success, when you select a student, you will see the student’s profile inclusive of academics, attendance, and behavior data. Alternatively, if your school or district does not have access to Student Success, you will only see the student’s Behavior data.
