Navigating your Positive Behavior Teacher Dashboard

The teacher dashboard provides teachers a snapshot of the behavioral health of each of their students and their use of positive behavior practices. Teachers can view how they are progressing towards the goals they have set using the Behavior Boost app. Additionally, teachers can utilize the Behavior Logging component of Behavior Analytics to log major or minor behavior incidents, and submit major incidents for administrator review.

This page walks you through the high-level navigation of features and metrics within the Positive Behavior Teacher dashboard (Figure 1.).

Key Metrics on Behavior Boost Engagement and Adoption

As a teacher, you are able to see if you are meeting your goals, how many students you have impacted, and the level of engagement from your students based on your behavior-specific praises. The top portion of the Positive Behavior Teacher Dashboard contains 3 key metrics collected from the last 30 days (Figure 2.):

  • Goals Met (A): The percentage a teacher met their daily praise goal.
  • Student Reach (B): The number of students who have received 1 or more praise records in a praise session by a teacher.
  • Average Engagement Rating (C): The average of all teacher-provided behavior ratings for their students who are being supported through praise goal sessions in the Behavior Boost app

In the Praise Goal tile, you can review active praise goal sessions you create using the Boost Mobile app. Here you will see information about the active and current praise goal including the number of behavior specific praises and the date of when the session started (Figure 3).

To the right of the Praise Goal tile, the Educators Practices tile lists groups of students that are most impacted by your behavior practices. (Figure 4.). Use this information to  reflect on students who may need additional support by reviewing the Educators Practices tile. Use the Incident Insights tile to reveal trends regarding the behavior incidents you enter, such as where and what time behavior incidents you enter occur (Figure 5.). Both the Educators Practices and Incident Insights tiles reflect data from the past 30 days.

Major Active Incidents and Incident Logging

In the Major Active Incidents tile, you will be able to review the first 3 most recent Major incidents you have submitted for review or drafts that you need to complete. Here, you can do the following (Figure 6.):

As a teacher, if you submit a major incident for review, you will be able to go back and edit any draft or submitted incident. You can view only incidents you enter for students on your roster, and incidents you submit for review. Other teachers cannot access the incidents that you log.
